Welcome to our new tool now available to NSPE Board members. It is the new and exciting NSPE Board of Directors Meetings Portal, BoardBookIt, which will allow you to electronically access all recent and upcoming NSPE BOD meeting agendas, minutes, governance documents, announcements, meeting notices, etc. in one place. This BoardBookit portal is available on the web through your browser (Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc.) simply by clicking the “login” button. BoardBookit is also available via an iPad app. An iPad Quick Start Usage Guide is also attached to this e-mail for your reference.
By now, you should have received an e-mail notification directly from BoardBookIt with instructions on how to log in and change your password. Once your password has been changed and the iPad app has been downloaded, you will be able to access all of the NSPE Board of Directors’ meeting information. For now, please add notifications@boardbookit.com and support@boardbookit.com to your address book in order to avoid messages being filtered to your spam or junk mail folders.
The help and support section can be found in the left-hand navigation bar after logging in. It includes many FAQ's and access to the knowledge base.
To access this portal after you have successfully changed your password, click the “Login” button in the upper right-hand corner of BoardBookIt.com or download the free app from most app stores.
Please note that you will still be able to access the NSPE BOD meeting agendas via the NSPE Leadership Toolbox as well.
We have added several key reference documents, such as the bylaws, policy manual, board roster, strategic plan and engineers creed, to the "Documents and Resources" section of the site, and will be adding to and refining this area in the weeks and months ahead. A schedule of future meetings is built in and all future board books will be posted here. In addition to creating a "one stop shop" for all your board meeting materials, this tool will allow us to make future agendas, issue papers and background materials accessible to you as soon as they are ready, rather than having to wait until everything for the meeting is finalized. The most current versions of all available materials will always be just an Internet connection away.
So go ahead and activate your account, get into it and play. We think you will find it intuitive and easy to use.
Your electronic meeting book, always available to you in the cloud, and accessible on your computer and iPad, has tools that allow you to highlight your copy, add notes and questions, save it to your device so it is available offline, and even print out a hard copy, if you prefer. Once the AMS conversion is complete and the online community platform is fully implemented, this functionality will be integrated into the NSPE online platform.
