Greg Boso, P.E.The Forensic Consulting Group has named Greg Boso, P.E., as president and a principal engineer for the firm based in Mobile, Alabama. During his career, Boso has provided forensic engineering investigations for construction defects, blasting damage, flood damage, stormwater damage, engineering negligence, landslides, and fires. He has also provided expert witness testimony. Boso earned a civil engineering bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Institute of Technology.

Raymond Daddazio, P.E.Raymond Daddazio, P.E., president of New York-based firm Thornton Tomasetti, will begin a new role as senior consultant beginning in 2020. In his new role, Daddazio will support the development of services for federal market sector clients, guide transportation and infrastructure initiatives, and continue his participation in the firm’s innovation efforts. He serves on the industry advisory committee of his alma mater, Columbia University, for their department of civil engineering and engineering mechanics and is chair emeritus of the university’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science Board of Visitors.

Malcolm McLaren, P.E.The National Academy of Construction has elected Malcolm McLaren, P.E., to its 2019 class. McLaren, the CEO of the McLaren Engineering Group, is one of 39 members of the incoming class, out of more than 300 candidates. Since founding the McLaren Engineering Group in his basement in 1977, McLaren has designed and engineered some of the country’s most crucial bridges, structures, waterfront destinations, and entertainment venues. McLaren holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Cornell University and a master’s in civil/structural engineering from Rutgers University–New Brunswick.

 Daniel Oerther, P.E.The National Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists has announced that Daniel Oerther, P.E., will serve as its 2020 vice president. Oerther is the chair of environmental health engineering at Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla, Missouri. His work has led to community-based participatory research to create and evaluate programs and policies to improve access to clean water, nutritious food, and energy efficiency in developing communities around the world. He holds a PhD in environmental engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign.

Jeffrey Greenfield, P.E.Jeffrey Greenfield, P.E., has been named a trustee-at-large for the National Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists for 2020. Greenfield is the project manager for the Broward County waste and wastewater services engineering division in Pompano Beach, Florida. He is an adjunct professor for civil and environmental engineering at Florida International University in Miami. He is an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commissioner, and a member of the NSPE Board of Ethical Review. He earned a BS in biology and an MS and PhD in civil engineering, all from the University of Pittsburgh.

Tyler Williams, P.E.Lt. Tyler Williams, P.E., has been named as the US Navy’s Military Engineer of the Year. Selected for the award by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic, Williams spearheaded a unique $85 million research, development, test, and evaluation project, serving a critical DoD program. He managed an annual project list for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Command, receiving 100% completion of all projects during fiscal year 2019. Williams will compete for the NAVFAC Headquarters Engineer of the Year award. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Western Kentucky University.
