Leonard Ramo, PELeonard Ramo, P.E., of Mobile, Alabama, has been appointed president of Telgian Engineering and Consulting LLC. Ramo joined Telgian nearly 20 years ago as a loss control engineer. He serves as president of the Central Gulf Coast chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and is also a member of the Society of American Military Engineers. Ramo earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science at Binghamton University. He holds a PE license in all 50 states.

Jonathan Rumohr, P.E.ASHRAE has presented Jonathan Rumohr, P.E., with the Award of Engineering Excellence for an outstanding application of innovative design and effective energy use. His work on the renovation of Western Michigan University’s Heritage Hall resulted in significant energy savings. The senior mechanical engineer for the Michigan-based TowerPinkster specializes in sustainable, energy-efficient plumbing, piping, and HVAC design. Rumohr earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Western Michigan University.

Steven Arndt, P.E., Ph.D.The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has awarded Steven Arndt, P.E., Ph.D., with the Distinguished Service Award for his work improving all facets of nuclear safety and advancing a wide range of technical and policy issues. Arndt is a former chair of NSPE’s Professional Engineers in Government interest group and serves as chairman of the Maryland Board for Professional Engineers. He won NSPE’s Federal Engineer of the Year award in 2012 and served as a colonel in the Maryland Defense Force and as the regimental commander of the 121st Engineering Regiment. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics as well as a master’s degree and PhD in nuclear engineering from Ohio State University.

Amy Allen, P.E.Amy Allen, P.E., has been appointed city engineer of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She previously served as the director of public services in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Allen is past president of the Wyoming Engineering Society, a board member of the Sweetwater County School District Number One Foundation, and a member of the University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Applied Science Dean’s Advisory Council. She received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wyoming.

Jeff Roman, P.E.Jeff Roman, P.E., of Charlotte, North Carolina, was recently named partner of Little, an international architecture and design firm. Roman previously worked as Little’s national director of engineering. He has nearly 20 years of experience in engineering and has led mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering teams across the country. He earned a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a master of business administration from the University of Florida.

Michael Hope, P.E.Michael Hope, P.E., of Philadelphia, was named principal of Greeley and Hansen, a leading global civil and environmental engineering, architectural, and management consulting firm. Hope previously served as co-managing director of the North Atlantic Operating Group. He is a past president of the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers and active in the American Water Works Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the New Jersey Water Environment Association. Hope has a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Widener University.
