Getting to NSPECon26 By Air
Brooklyn is conveniently located near all three major New York City airports:
LaGuardia Airport (LGA). (Approx. 9-10 miles from hotel)
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). (Approx. 15-16 miles from hotel)
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR): (Approx. 17-18 miles from hotel)
Taxi/Ride-Sharing: Taxis are readily available at all airport terminals. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft also operate. Travel times vary greatly depending on traffic, but expect 45-90 minutes from JFK/EWR and 30-60 minutes from LGA.

Public Transportation: New York City's public transit system (MTA) is an efficient way to reach the hotel.
- From LGA: Take the M60 SBS bus to Manhattan and transfer to a subway line into Brooklyn, or use a combination of bus and subway routes.
- From JFK: Take the AirTrain JFK to Jamaica Station, then transfer to the subway (A, C, or E lines are common routes into Brooklyn).
- From EWR: Take the AirTrain Newark to Newark Liberty International Airport Station, then a NJ Transit train to Penn Station in Manhattan, followed by a subway ride (A or C lines to Jay St-Metrotech, a short walk to the hotel).
We highly recommend using a navigation app like Google Maps or Citymapper for real-time directions.
On-site parking is available at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge (Note. Parking is managed by SP+ Corp.) Please be aware that parking in NYC can be expensive.

Public Transportation within NYC. The hotel's location in Downtown Brooklyn offers excellent access to multiple subway lines (2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, F, R lines at Jay St-Metrotech and Borough Hall stations are within a few blocks), making it easy to explore Brooklyn and Manhattan.
New York City Weather in August. August in New York City is typically warm and humid, representing the peak of summer.
Average High Temperature. Expect temperatures in the low to mid-80s°F (around 28-30°C).
Average Low Temperature. Nights generally cool down to the upper 60s°F (around 20-21°C).
Rainfall. Occasional thunderstorms are common in August, usually brief but intense. We recommend bringing a small umbrella.

Business casual attire is strongly encouraged for NSPECon26. Given New York's August weather and hotel air conditioning, we suggest dressing in layers and bringing a light sweater or jacket for indoor sessions. Don't forget your PE gear if you plan to celebrate PE Day on August 6th!
