NSPE Student Membership is where the momentum begins, and a great way to get a head start on your professional journey. Make lifelong connections, pursue unique opportunities, and help shape the future of the profession — and it’s free while you’re in school.

Membership Requirements

Student Membership

You qualify for a FREE NSPE national student membership if you are:

  • a student enrolled full-time in an engineering program accredited by ABET’s Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) or Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC), provided the program is recognized for licensure by state or territorial law
  • a student enrolled in an engineering or pre-engineering program that has a formal transfer agreement with one or more ABET-accredited EAC or ETAC programs
  • a student enrolled full-time in a graduate-level engineering program that supports licensure eligibility

Note: Eligibility for licensure may vary by state. Students are responsible for ensuring that their program aligns with licensure requirements in the state where they intend to practice
