ROWE Professional Services Co. has named Leanne Panduren, P.E., F.NSPE, as president of the company. She joined the firm as an assistant project engineer 20 years ago, being promoted in turn to project manager, division manager, and principal, and she was brought onto the board of directors two years ago. Panduren has worked on various municipal infrastructure projects, helping communities to obtain government grants. She currently serves as the president of the NSPE Educational Foundation.
Dave Burwitz, P.E., has been promoted from associate to senior associate within Clark Engineering Corp. He is in charge of operations at the firm’s Sioux Falls, South Dakota, office, and he has over 25 years of experience on municipal, county, and state projects in the Midwest. Burwitz, who is LEED-certified, applies his expertise across all stages of infrastructure projects, including bridge roadways, airports, bike trails, water systems, and park facilities.
IEEE has named Gregory Wolven, P.E., to its National Electric Safety Code as a principal member, representing the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. An electrical engineer and the director of engineering for Western Indiana Energy REMC, Wolven has been involved in rural power utilities for more than 30 years. WIN Energy REMC is an energy cooperative headquartered in Vincennes, Indiana. Wolven earned his degree from the Virginia Military Institute after being honorably discharged from the US Navy. -
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has given special recognition to Marion Chaney, P.E., for his 58 years of licensed engineering in the state. As the senior partner for Barron Heinberg & Brocato Architects and Engineers, based in Alexandria, Louisiana, Chaney has developed numerous major institutional energy conservation programs. He earned his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Louisiana Tech University.The full-service architectural and engineering firm Thompson & Litton has announced new additions to its leadership team. Greg Hurst, P.E., has been named executive vice president. He has over 23 years of engineering experience, which included a focus on expanding the firm’s market area in Virginia. Hurst has contributed to design and development of water, wastewater, and other infrastructure projects. He earned a master’s of environmental engineering from Virginia Tech. Also announced was the promotion of Steve Brooks, P.E., to vice president of engineering. In this role, he will be in charge of daily operations for the firm’s building engineering practice, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing divisions. Brooks founded the structural practice at Thompson & Litton and has expanded their in-house expertise in the other divisions.
