Regionally, he was president of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers (2006–07) as well as the Valley Forge chapter. PSPE named him Engineer of the Year in 2009.
Professionally, Hnatiuk works as vice president of Maida Engineering Inc., a multidiscipline firm based in Philadelphia that serves electrical, industrial, commercial, and HVAC clients all over the world.
