The third USA Science & Engineering Festival, held April 25–27, was an even bigger success this year than in the past. More than 325,000 visitors came to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, compared to 150,000 at the 2012 event. DiscoverE, which organizes the annual Engineers Week, handed out passports, encouraging kids to visit different engineering booths, complete an activity, and receive a stamp. Once they collected five stamps, they could return to DiscoverE for a reward. NSPE employees, like Keith Wells, pictured left, helped stamp passports and distribute prizes.
