Engineering Education Outcomes. Sets out NSPE’s position that engineering students and engineering technology students of all disciplines who become licensed professional engineers should attain education outcomes as defined in the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)/Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) or ABET/ Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) baccalaureate level general criteria.
Licensure and Qualifications for Practice. Clarifies NSPE’s position on scope of engineering education, lifelong learning, the relationship between licensure and education, and more.
Engineering Faculty Licensure. Articulates NSPE’s belief that licensing jurisdictions should be encouraged to require engineering and engineering technology faculty who teach advanced engineering subjects to be licensed professional engineers in the jurisdiction where they are practicing.
