Each August, Members of Congress return to their home districts to meet with constituents and hear directly about the issues affecting their communities. This year's August congressional recess presents an opportunity for NSPE members to connect with their U.S. Representative and share their experiences with engineering education, professional development and career growth, helping policymakers better understand the factors that shape the future engineering workforce.
As part of NSPE's ongoing Congressional Meeting Campaign, members will soon receive information on how to request an in-district meeting and access resources to help prepare for the conversation. NSPE encourages participation from members at all stages of their engineering journey. Your experience and expertise can help policymakers better understand how public policy affects the engineering profession and the role engineers play in addressing the nation's challenges and opportunities.
Members interested in meeting with their Representative will have access to resources designed to help them feel informed and prepared.
