It is the policy of NSPE to proactively advocate for the legislative, regulatory, and administrative actions necessary to support licensed professional engineers. NSPE recognizes licensed professional engineers as integral factors in the planning, engineering, design, implementation, construction, testing, operation, maintenance, and renewal of engineered systems. NSPE volunteers and business entities are directed to implement this policy in relevant position statements, operating procedures, and business practices.
