It is the policy of NSPE that all engineers, particularly those in responsible charge of the practice of engineering, be licensed for the protection of public health, safety, and welfare. NSPE advocates for uniform licensure laws to facilitate and expedite comity. NSPE volunteers and related business entities are encouraged to implement this policy in relevant position statements, operating procedures, and business practices.
