Position Statement:
It is the position of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) to contribute to, and influence, legislative and regulatory activities at all levels of government as part of its dedication to the health, safety and welfare of the public, the engineering profession, and advancement of the Society and its members.
NSPE will monitor, analyze, and act upon governmental activities, legislative and/or regulatory, to which engineering input is necessary.
The policies and directions adopted by NSPE will guide its legislative and regulatory activities in the fields to which they apply. Where existing policies are not applicable, NSPE will be guided by considerations that, in its judgment, promote the long-term health, safety, and welfare of the public and of the engineering profession.
Registration is open for NSPECon26 in New York City, New York!
Volunteering at NSPE is a great opportunity to grow your professional network and connect with other leaders in the field.
Decisions at the ballot box influence policies that support engineering standards and public safety.
