It is the policy of NSPE that engineered infrastructure support and enhance livable communities. NSPE recognizes the benefits to public health, safety, and welfare when licensed professional engineers are engaged in creating, maintaining, and renewing infrastructure that enhances everyday life, revitalization, and economic competitiveness. NSPE advocates for the inclusion of licensed professional engineers in all engineering aspects related to infrastructure. NSPE volunteers and related business entities are encouraged to implement this policy in relevant position statements, operating procedures, and business practices.
