It is the policy of NSPE to promote and support engineering education that cultivates and supports the next generation of innovators and technology leaders, resulting in licensed professional engineers with the skills and knowledge to practice in a manner that protects the health, safety, and welfare of the public. NSPE recognizes the benefits of engineering education to nurture innovation and creativity in engineering. NSPE proactively encourages its members to engage in lifelong learning and the evolution of engineering education to ensure the profession evolves in an ethical, sustainable manner. NSPE volunteers and related business entities are encouraged to implement this policy in relevant position statements, operating procedures, and business practices.
