Steve Yates, P.E., is an NSPE member and IEEE senior member with over 35 years of experience in edge computing and industrial systems. He is the cofounder and CEO of Federant, LLC, a company developing open governance infrastructure for safety-critical and high-impact edge AI systems, based in Charlottesville, Virginia. He previously founded adi engineering, grew it into a global edge networking original equipment manufacturer (OEM), and led its acquisition by Silicom LTD in 2015. He has nine us patents in edge networking and cybersecurity, with 11 additional patents pending in AI governance infrastructure.
