NSPE is seeking individuals to represent NSPE members in the states listed below on the NSPE House of Delegates for a term commencing July 1, 2025, and expiring June 30, 2027:

- Iowa
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
- Montana
- Tennessee
The NSPE House of Delegates is responsible for maintaining and approving amendments to the NSPE Bylaws, Code of Ethics and Professional Policies under which NSPE operates, as well as electing the NSPE officers and board. State delegates should be familiar with member needs within their state, interested in helping shape the direction of NSPE and willing to invest time and energy in advancing NSPE’s mission and fostering an effective partnership between state societies and national.
The House of Delegates meets once each year at the House of Delegates General Assembly and Annual Meeting which is typically held virtually during the last week of June. Delegates may also participate in other virtual meetings throughout their term.
A state delegate to the NSPE House of Delegates must be a licensed Professional Engineer and a member in good standing of NSPE. Submitting a Nomination – Deadline: May 28, 2025
Nominations are now open for individuals interested in serving as a delegate. Self-nominations are permitted. To be considered, each candidate must submit the following in electronic form (Word or PDF) to ATTENTION: N/I Delegate Nomination [email protected]
no later than May 28, 2025:
- A statement of interest, indicating which state delegate position to which you are applying (FL, IA, LA, MS, MT, TN) and addressing how you meet the Basic Qualifications for NSPE House of Delegates state delegate based on the position description. [one-page maximum]
- A summary of history and previous experience and service to NSPE, its state affiliates, other engineering organizations, and relevant civic service. [three-page maximum]
- A signed NSPE House of Delegates Certification Form indicating your willingness and capacity to fully meet the obligations of the office, and to abide by all applicable NSPE bylaw, policy and legal duties and obligations.
Nomination and Voting Procedures
Once a nomination is received, NSPE staff will verify the nominee’s eligibility based on NSPE Bylaw 13 and Operating Procedure 7.11 to serve; and then prepare the candidate’s submitted materials for presentation to all voters (in good NSPE standing) in an online ballot. On June 2, NSPE members in each state will receive a message asking them to review online the candidates’ statements of interest and history of previous experience; and to cast a vote electronically for ONE candidate. NSPE members may only vote once. Ballots will close on June 5. The nominee receiving the highest number of votes will be seated as the 2025–2027 state delegate. Successful candidates will be announced by June 9.
