NSPE Today
New Day,
New Look

NSPE new logoOver the last several years, NSPE leaders have been working overtime to create a new-look organization for professional engineers while still holding true to the principles on which NSPE was founded in 1934. To complement the organization’s new strategic direction and outlook, the board of directors recently approved a new logo.

“NSPE has gone through considerable change since 1991, the last time the Society unveiled a new logo,” says Immediate Past President Tim Austin, P.E., F.NSPE. “Much has changed in 25 years. NSPE’s visual identity should reflect the energy being focused on supporting licensed professional engineers and the progress that is being made.”

PE Magazine LogoTHE NEW LOOK OF PE MAGAZINE

Beginning in 2012, NSPE leaders recognized the imperative for change that all professional societies face, as documented in the book Race for Relevance. Over 96 members from 41 states made up seven task forces that spent over 3,000 hours assessing the best way the Society could adapt to the trends influencing membership organizations.

The result has been a new Strategic Plan and Statement of Principles, a greater emphasis on advocacy for PEs and collaboration with state societies as well as the delivery of useful content through social media, newsletters, podcasts, and PE magazine.
