NSPE Senior Manager of Government Relations Sarah Ogden participated in a congressional briefing on "STEM Education for an Innovative Workforce." The event featured a panel discussion of methods to improve undergraduate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education and the public policy needed to support these strategies. Speakers included Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute President Shirley Ann Jackson, Research Corporation for Science Advancement President James Gentile, Association of American Universities President Hunter Rawlings III, and American Chemical Society 2012 President Bassam Shakhashiri.
