NSPE Senior Manager of Government Relations Sarah Ogden participated in a Coalition for National Science Funding meeting , where representatives from the National Science Foundation discussed t he Science and Technology for America's Reinvestment: Measuring the Effect of Research on Innovation, Competitiveness and Science program. STAR METRICS would allow the federal government to document the impact of federal science investment on economic growth, workforce outcomes, scientific knowledge, and social outcomes.
NSPE is a member of CNSF, an alliance of more than 125 organizations united by a concern for the future of the national science, mathematics, and engineering professions. CNSF supports increasing national investment in the National Science Foundation's research and education programs.
