Utilizing Federal Highway Administration & AASHTO Design Tools to Optimize Paved and Unpaved Road Design

The program provides 3 hours of training regarding how geogrid can be used to improve the performance of a flexible pavement. Attendees will learn how geogrid performance in pavement is measured and validated, and how engineers can predict pavement performance as a result of including geogrid as a component of the pavement base, or as a means to stiffen the subgrade beneath the pavement. Attendees will learn to use software designed to model geogrids within a pavement.

Then 4 hours will be spent working through typical design scenarios intended to complete the engineer’s understanding of how to incorporate geogrid into a pavement design.
