Explore current innovations in open source robotics, machine learning and artificial intelligence to automate processes that allow accuracies that represent real-world environments. This new breed of robots utilizes 3-D laser scanning, thermography, acoustic imaging, and high-resolution photographs to give engineers tools that enhance the speed and accuracy of assessing projects, while reducing cost and increasing safety. This session will explore forging partnerships between operators and end users to refine deliverables that increase usability, acceptance and insistence by design professionals
Ben Lindner is a FAA Certified Commercial pilot and remote Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) pilot. Ben is the Advanced Robotics and Remote Sensing (AARS) group leader for GBA. He has developed internal robotics training and has used his knowledge to educate groups and firms across the US. Ben has worked with several of GBA’s departments such as our Survey group to develop photogrammetry, and Transportation group to develop sonar and infrared imagery. Ben is an accomplished photography and video expert who has used his skills in multiple industries, producing content for national television networks, feature-length films and live concert events. He has valuable experience in advanced robotics, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence processing of unstructured data.
