Speaker Bio: Dan Wittliff

Dan Wittliff, P.E., F.NSPE, is managing director of Environmental Services for GDS Associates, keeping complex and multiphase projects on schedule and within budget. Prior to joining GDS Associates, Wittliff was principal of Dan Wittliff Consulting and vice president and chief operating officer of HydroProcessing. He also served as the first chief engineer for the Texas environmental commission (TNRCC). His projects include renewable and alternative energy projects; multimedia permitting of industrial and electric generating facilities; designing and evaluating performance improvement projects in water and electric systems; and managing public and regulatory outreach on new electric generating facilities. Wittliff serves on the Board of Advisors to the Environmental and Civil Engineering Department of Southern Methodist University, where he received his Bachelor Of Science in Mechanical Engineering and taught a graduate course in construction management. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma. Wittliff founded and chairs NSPE's Software Engineering Licensure Committee.
