|Rowe Professional Services Co. has named two additional principals to its team. The first is Leanne Panduren, P.E., who joined Rowe in 1994 and was promoted to manager of the civil utilities division in 2006, a position she will retain as principal. She is the NSPE treasurer, president of the Lapeer Family Literacy Center Board of Directors, and a member of the Thumbworks Workforce Investment Development Board of Directors. She obtained a bachelor's in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University.
The second principal is Jack Wheatley, P.E., who joined Rowe in 1989. Promoted to senior project manager in 2006, Wheatley has been project engineer and project manager for a variety of civil utilities jobs. He will now be principal/director of corporate marketing. Wheatley, who earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from Michigan State University, is a member of the American Public Works Association and is a trustee for the Flushing Community Schools Board of Education.
Bruce Schopp, P.E., has been inducted into the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville Alumni Hall of Fame for his achievements in engineering and contributions to his community and university. He is a member of his university's School of Engineering Advisory Board, and he has also recently been promoted to president and COO of Oates Associates in Collinsville, Illinois.
|Charles Fiedler, P.E., has been elected to the board of the New Mexico Recycling Coalition, and will serve on the coalition's finance committee. He has published a number of documents on solid waste management and is an expert in waste minimization and environmental engineering. He earned a bachelor's and master's, both in civil engineering, from Texas A&M University.
Joanne Truong, P.E., was named the 2011 Engineer of the Year by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in the Atlantic. As the environmental program manager for the U.S. Navy's Overseas Water Quality Oversight Program, she has helped ensure the health and safety of the Navy's overseas workforce. Truong also regularly volunteers at the Tidewater Chinese School and participates in Clean the Bay Day.
The Pennsylvania A/E firm Borton Lawson has hired Chris Hetro, P.E., as an electrical engineer in the facilities business unit. Hetro previously worked as a power engineer and electrical project manager at FLSmidth, an international engineering and equipment supplier for the cement and minerals industries. He earned his bachelor's in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from Lehigh University.
