Engineers Week: Founded by NSPE in 1951, EWeek (February 14-20, 2010) is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. Today, EWeek is a formal coalition of more than 75 professional societies, major corporations, and government agencies. Junior Engineering Technical Society: JETS, founded in 1950, uses academic competitions, educational activities, and career guidance resources to promote engineering and technology careers to students. MATHCOUNTS: MATHCOUNTS is a national enrichment, coaching and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement in every U.S. state and territory. National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers: NABIE, a chartered affinity group of NSPE, works to establish the highest standards for the building and home inspection industry and to verify the qualifications of individuals offering these services. National Academy of Forensic Engineers: NAFE, a chartered affinity group of NSPE, advances the art and skill of engineers who serve as engineering consultants to members of the legal profession and as expert witnesses in courts of law, arbitration proceedings and administrative adjudication proceedings. National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies: Founded in 1961, NICET has certified more than 117,000 engineering technicians and engineering technologists. |
