Salazar Machine & Steel Inc.
Produce Bin Washer GCS©
Immokalee, Florida

Salazar Machine & Steel Inc."When there was need for a time saving, low cost bin washer, Pete Salazar
asked himself, "What are the problems with most bin washers on the market?" They break down easily, waste water, and are extremely time consuming cleaning approximately one or two bins per minute. The result was the Produce Bin Washer GCS?, using gravity to control the tilting of bins, creating a holding tank that reclaims and recycles water and moving at a speed capable of cleaning three hundred bins per hour! It is fully bolted together and can be taken apart easily for transporting to/from packing houses. Companies use it isolated or put it in line with their dump systems. More mportantly, this system is being used to sanitize bins, helping to minimize bacteria such as E. Coli and salmonella."

AuthenTec Inc.
AES1510
Melbourne, Florida

AuthenTec Inc.AuthenTec's AES1510 fingerprint sensor has been built into more than 3
million cell phones, where it provides convenient security and personalization features for the user.  This product is especially

popular in Japan where the cell phone is used like a mobile wallet. Instead of swiping a credit card for payment at retail locations and subway terminals, a cell phone user simply swipes a finger across the AES1510 to authenticate, then taps the phone on a payment terminal to complete a transaction.  You can expect this same mobile payment technology in the U.S. within the next few years.

The AES1510 is the smallest sensor with AuthenTec's award-winning Power of Touch functionality, enabling manufacturers to easily add security, convenience, navigation and personalization controlled by the swipe of a finger.  The AES1510 uses AuthenTec's patented TruePrint(r) technology to read fingerprints below the surface of the skin, enhancing both fingerprint accuracy and reliability.

Cummins Emission Solutions (CES)
Cummins Particulate Filter (CPF)
Stoughton, Wisconsin

Cummins Emission SolutionsIn 2007, emissions requirements changed dramatically for heavy-duty trucks
when the allowable limit for Particulate Matter was reduced by 90% from 2004 levels.  To meet this unprecedented emissions target, Cummins introduced the Cummins Particulate Filter that when combined with other system components, resulted in a 90% reduction in particulate matter.

Exhaust gas is filtered to remove soot particles using a porous ceramic media consisting of an array of small channels that the exhaust gas flows through.  Adjacent channels are plugged at opposite ends, forcing the exhaust gas to flow through the porous wall where soot particles are captured.  Soot accumulates in the filter, and when sufficient heat is present a "regeneration" event occurs, oxidizing the soot and cleaning the filter.
